Touring Homes

1. If at all possible let’s try to view properties in the day light.

Sometimes this is a little hard to do so keep in mind that if we view a property that is of interest and it’s dark outside, simply give us an idea of time the next day that might be open to view the outside.

2. Bring a note pad to take notes.

We will supply you with property information.

3. Plan a time to view homes that is not pressured.

Plan on taking your time to thoroughly view these homes and feel free to ask us any and all questions that might come up in the viewing process.

4. When we set up an appointment to view the property, we will request that the owners leave the property.

From a practical stand point, that may not be possible.  If the owners are present, our following suggestion is a little harder to exercise.  It is our suggestion that you open the cupboards, closet doors, and any other accessible area of a particular home and see what is there.

5. We strongly suggest that smaller children not accompany us as we view these potential homes.

Many of the homes we will be getting into will be occupied.  We may have pets to contend with or personal property that could be broken easily.  Also, it has been our experience that the viewing process cannot be accomplished thoroughly if we have to look after a little one that wished he or she could be doing more fun things.

Again, viewing available homes is the fun part.  Keep in mind that it’s not the number of homes we preview that is important.  The important thing to keep in mind is, “Does this home meet your outlined objectives?”  If you dillydally in making an offer someone else may step in and beat you out!
